Cookie Policy
Last updated · 4 June 2026
This policy explains how OriginalGuard uses cookies and similar technologies (like local storage) on our website and apps. In short: we use only what is necessary to make the Service work and keep it secure — there is no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. “Local storage” and “secure storage” are similar technologies used by web and mobile apps to remember information between sessions. They can be strictly necessary (for the Service to function), functional, or used for analytics/advertising.
Cookies on this website
This marketing and legal website is intentionally lightweight. It does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any cookies or storage used are strictly necessary — for example, to remember basic preferences or to support security. We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics that do not identify you individually; if introduced, it will be listed here.
Storage in the mobile app
The OriginalGuardmobile app does not use browser cookies. Instead it stores your authentication tokens in your device's secure storage (e.g. the iOS Keychain / Android Keystore), and keeps essential app state on-device so the app works offline. This data is used solely to keep you signed in and to operate the app, and is cleared when you sign out or delete your account.
No advertising or cross-site tracking
We do not use advertising cookies, advertising identifiers for ad targeting, or third-party cross-site trackers. We do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture of how we handle personal data.
Managing cookies & storage
You can clear or block cookies and site data through your browser settings, and clear app storage through your device settings or by signing out of the app. Blocking strictly necessary cookies or clearing secure storage may sign you out or limit functionality.
